Goethe’s final words, “Mehr Licht” express a timeless desire for clarity and understanding. In the same spirit, LUX VERITAS—Latin for “Light of Truth”—seeks to illuminate the natural forces shaping Earth’s climate. Just as Goethe called for more light to see the world clearly, LUX VERITAS aims to reveal the complex interplay of solar influences, geological and oceanic processes, and biological feedbacks that govern our planet.
Beyond the simplified media or policy coverage of climate, the project strives to provide clear, evidence-based information and invites readers to engage critically with scientific evidence. While approximately 97% of climate scientists emphasize carbon dioxide as a key driver of current climate change, this “scientific consensus” does not capture the full complexity of the climate system. Many scientists may refrain from expressing the full extent of their views publicly due to institutional pressures, funding constraints, or career considerations. In much of the public discourse, CO₂ is presented as if it alone explains climate change, overlooking the full spectrum of interacting natural factors.
LUX VERITAS gives voice to the remaining 3% of perspectives, highlighting careful, evidence-based research that is sometimes labeled “climate denials.” Engaging with these views deepens our understanding, since CO₂ alone cannot fully explain climate variability or extreme weather events. We encourage readers to explore the broad spectrum of influences on climate: solar activity, oceanic dynamics, intricate geological processes, biological feedbacks, often-overlooked factors such as Milankovitch cycles or subterranean fires, and Earth’s long-term history. Through this exploration, our goal is to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and thoughtful discussion about the full complexity of Earth’s climate system.

Ninel Azoitei, PD Dr.
Dr. Azoitei is a molecular biologist at Ulm University who has expertise in the role of transcription factors and protein kinases in driving tumor metastasis and angiogenesis. He led research on the molecular mechanisms of tumorigenesis and cancer progression. Ninel has published extensively in prestigious scientific journals.
